Jasmine Skurtu

Jasmine (jazzy jazz) began singing before she could speak complete sentences, and then went on at six years old to pick out nursery rhymes on the piano.  Thanks to her mother, Marlene,, she always stayed in music courses all her life. When she went to college, they instructed her in note and tab reading, and as a shock to her teacher and all, she figured out how to play "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies" a full-orchestral piece, on her classical guitar. After her mother, Marlene, joined her in college, they went to spend the summer in Spain, where she learned Flamenco from the masters,  After graduating from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Music, with Guitar Concentration, she began teaching private lessons and soon joined the faculty of UH, teaching guitar courses. She currently travels the world giving concerts with the band Nightboom with her mother and they are setting San Diego on fire with their Flamenco-Rock Fusion.  . Their website is:  www.NightbloomMusic.com and can be found on Facebook under NightbloomMusic.
